We implemented an Intelligent Inventory & Cross-Sell Engine that functions as a real-time sales co-pilot. The system integrates directly with the live stock database to not only track availability but to map "high-margin adjacencies." When a core product (e.g., a fountain pen) is queried, the engine instantly checks the stock levels of compatible accessories—such as matching leather pouches or specific ink cartridges. It then prompts the sales associate with available "Complete the Set" recommendations, ensuring that current inventory is actively leveraged to build dynamic bundles at the point of sale.
Operational friction was reduced significantly. Staff spent less time checking stockrooms and more time on the floor. The recommendation engine drove a significant increase in Average Order Value (AOV), proving that AI in retail is not about replacing staff, but augmenting their ability to sell.
